Popular multi-format multimedia player VLC has pushed an update for its iOS app that brings with it a slew of new features and a revamped user interface. The app’s new user interface design is in line with iOS7, the latest iteration of Apple’s mobile OS. Post-Version 2.2, VLC for iOS now supports streaming video and other media from Google Drive and Dropbox. Previously, one had to download content from cloud storage to play it. The app now supports new multitouch gestures and additional formats and protocols. One can now pause a video with a two finger tap, and control brightness and volume levels with a swipe. The free app can be downloaded from the iTunes App Store.
