A new security bug has been discovered in the photo-sharing app, Snapchat, which causes smartphones to crash. Researcher Jamie Sanchez first reported the vulnerability that opens up the auto-photo-destruct pp to a denial-of-service attack. The bug could allow hackers to overload the inbox with messages and crash the iPhone. It forces the user to reset their device making it noticeably slower. Snapchat responded they were working to resolve the issue and would be reaching out to the security researcher, who earlier blamed Snapchat for having no respect for cyber security research community.
