Amazon has launched Kindle Paperwhite 2nd Generation and like the earlier version, this e-reader uses a front-lit display that guides illumination towards the screen and away from your eyes so you don’t strain your peepers. The new device boasts an improved contrast ratio for whiter whites and blacker blacks, a faster processor and new touch technology for smoother operation. And it comes with a Vocabulary Builder that compiles words you look up in the dictionary into an easy-access list; Smart Lookup that integrates dictionary definitions with reference information about a word, topic or book; Goodreads that helps users with book recommendations based on their taste; and Amazon’s Whispersync that saves and syncs your page number across devices.
