Due to the low user demand and sales, Apple is
cutting the iPhone 5c production in Foxconn's Zhengzhou factory in Northern
China from 50,000 per day down to just 8,000 per day. Now the factory is going
to concentrate to increase the production of iPhone 5s. It seems the plastic
iPhone going to become a disaster in the world market. Apart from low iPhone 5C sales, this move could
have also been motivated by some serious iPhone 5S supply shortages across the
globe. There's also some speculation that Apple might just cut down production
of the iPhone 5S, thereby making it harder to find. The scarcity might enhance
the product's image as a 'premium device' over the cheaper iPhone 5C.
