This free app takes the guesswork out of sharing large files between mobile devices. It uses WiFi Direct to transfer files, which most new Android smartphones have. If the devices have NFC (Near Field Communication), you can use that to pair them up, or just use the simple QR code scanning mechanism to pair the devices up.
