Rovio's been busy. Their familiar mengerie of grumpy avians and their green porkers will appear in a web-only cartoon series starting in March. Rovio's blog post says the series will “throw the doors of Piggie Island wide open” and show players more about the characters from the series. The trailer shows all the popular birds, including the iconic Red Bird, as well as their porcine nemeses. From the trailer it's unclear if any of the characters are voiced beyond their animal sounds. The cartoons will be posted every weekend starting on March 16 on the Angry Birds cartoon portal page. Who knows where the adventure will now take us.
