Adblock Plus is a well-known advertisement blocker extension for web browsers. Now, the same functionality is available for your Android device in the form of a free app. The Adblock Plus app runs in the background and monitors your existing apps for any inapp advertisements and blocks them. The only issue is that the app currently works only over a Wi-Fi network — in other words, ad filtering does not work unless you are on Wi-Fi. You can choose from various filter lists from within the app to improve the ad detection rate if the default list does not work for you. Get this app if you are constantly bombarded by ads in various ad supported apps. Note that if an ad-suppored app behaves erratically after Adblock Plus is installed, try re-installing it. If it still doesn't work properly, you have no option but enable ads for it.
