This new budget tablet is billed as India's first tablet with a 2G SIM slot (since it works only on EDGE/GPRS connections). However, the T-Pad WS703C also supports voice calling and text messaging. Hardware is similar to other budget tablets — 7-inch (800 x 480 pixel) touchscreen, 1.2Ghz processor, 512MB RAM, mali 400 GPU and 4GB onboard storage. It runs Android 4.0, comes with microSD slot, HDMI, mini USB (3G dongle support), built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It also has dual VGA cameras. Penta has tied up with BSNL to offer special 2G data plans.
