Gameloft’s N.O.V.A. 3 (US$ 6.99) follows in the successful footsteps of its two earlier versions, taking square aim at the legions of existing fans and first-person shooter games. You play as Kal Wardin, a retired marine hero who is tasked with fighting an alien race called Xenos. The 3D visuals are amongst the best on a mobile platform and the quality of textures will make you lose yourself in the game. If you like, you can also connect your iPhone 4S, iPod Touch 4G or iPad2/3 to a larger screen using Apple’s HDMI adapter and enjoy full-screen HD gaming – an onlooker will probably assume you’re playing a console game. $6.99 may seem like a lot, but considering that it plays a lot like a full console game which costs RS2,499, it's a steal.
