What makes this ultrabook stand out is its 14-inch screen with a 21:9 wide aspect ratio and 1792 x 768 pixel display resolution. Thanks to the wide aspect ratio, there will be no black bars visible when viewing videos. It also allows for optimum usage of Windows 8's ability to run programs side-by-side. Specs include Intel's latest Core processors, up to 10GB RAM, 500GB hard drive coupled with a 32GB SSD for fast boot times, 1.8kg weight and 2cm thickness. The U840W also has a textured metal body and claims a full-day battery life. It is expected to arrive in the third quarter of 2012 for about US$ 1,400.
