When does a game become less of something that you’re actually controlling and more a cinematic experience? Certain games like the Uncharted series on the PS3 have explored this mechanic but Asura’s Wrath takes this concept, adds surreal and unrealistic environments, an over-the-top style, impossible situations and no clear storyline to create a game that you can’t stop playing. The plotline? You play as Asura, who has to defeat seven Deities in order to save his daughter. Combat is mostly quicktime ‘button mashing’ events but in the end, it’s more a roller coaster ride.
