Most Android phones offer a ‘power’ widget that can be placed on the home screen — this provides one-touch controls for enabling/disabling select connectivity features and brightness. However, this app for Android called Quick Settings gives you control over Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and data services, but also provides more advanced controls. You can adjust the brightness through a slider instead of the 3-step adjustment that you get on the standard widget. You can also adjust volume levels across the ringer, notifications, alarms, voice calls and media playback using multiple sliders. Finally, it shows you what is using the phone’s battery, gives you the option to use the display or camera LED as a flashlight and places an icon in the status bar for quick access.
