Newsy is a free app and it provides an experience akin to having a mini news channel in your iPad. Unlike news aggregators, which present news/videos from a variety of different sources, Newsy produces its own short, informative videos in various categories (world, business, technology, entertainment, sports, politics and so on). In portrait view, the app shows thumbnails of the videos, while in landscape, the view shifts to a coverflow-like view of the videos that you can flick through.It’s not just about viewing the videos either — you can post comments, share videos using Twitter, Facebook or email and even save videos for offline viewing later.
