By default, Windows minimises application to the taskbar and keeps grouping multiple windows. However, with multiple applications running, you will eventually run out of space on the taskbar. With Hideit for Windows, you can minimise applications to the system tray (next to the clock) instead of the taskbar. There is no installation required as the application runs as an ‘EXE’ file. Once running, right click on the minimizes symbol in a window and select ‘Hideit’ — this minimizes the application to the system tray.
You can restore the application by double clicking on its icon or right clicking on the Hideit application’s icon to select a single application or all of them to be restored. If you have Windows 7, you’ll get a clutter-free desktop, since Windows 7, by default, keeps icons in the system tray hidden.
