IIT has launched the Classpad tablet aimed at students studying in class 3 to 12. The tablet has a 10.1-inch capacitive display, 1Ghz processor, 512MB RAM and 4GB storage (expandable via microSD). It runs Android 2.2 and comes with various educational apps installed. It also has a VGA front camera, built in speakers and mic as well as mini HDMI out capable of 1080p output. Battery life is a claimed 6 hours `7,500.
i think this is really cool. last year (2011) Aakash Tab was launched. but that stuff is very poor in performance. hope this will be better
