Idea has launched two Android smartphones priced between Rs.5,850 and Rs.7,992 - with a 2.8-inch capacitive screen respectively. Both devices are powered by Android 2.2 and have 3.2MP cameras, GPS, micro SD slots (up to 32GB), FM and Wi-Fi with hotspot. Although the phone are branded as 'Idea 3G Smartphones', they are not SIM locked and canbe used with any cellular network. To make the phones more appealing, Idea is offering special 'reverse subsidy' plans for their subscribers, which brings the effective cost of the devices down to Rs.2,609 (2.8-inch) and Rs.4,751 (3.5-inch).
