After launching 3 tablets earlier this year, HCL has launched one more in the ME Series. What makes this budget tablet stand out is its own PC suite called 'ME Connect'. The device itself has features similar to the existing crop of budget tablet - a 7-inch capacitive display, mini HDMI out and mini USB port with host functionality. It is powered by Google's Android operating system, but does not offer Android Market access; rather it comes with HCL's own store from where apps can be downloaded. Hardware includes a 1Ghz processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB storage, microSD slot, 2MP camera, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. There is no SIM card slot, but 3G can be enabled using a USB dongle connected via a mini USB to USB host cable.
