The update to existing 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab (p1000) is dubbed the Galaxy Tab 7.7 and it has undergone a complete overhaul. Just 7.9mm thick' the tab 7.7 comes with a 7.7- inch super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280x800 pixels. It will run Android 3.2 with Touchwiz UI and offers USB host support as well. Under the hood is a dual core 1.4Ghz processor, 1GB RAM and storage options of 16/32/64GB (expandable via microSD). Wireless connectivity is taken care of with 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS with TV-out also present to connect to an HDTV directly. The 3.2MP rear camera can record 720p videos while the front camera is rated at 2 MP. The battery is now 5100mAh with a claimed 10hours of backup.
