After Motorola and Samsung’s Android
phones that complain touch screen with keypads, LG has launched a competitor:
the Optimus Pro. The phone adds on a full QWERTY keyboard in a candy-bar form
factor with a 2.8-inch touchscreen display on top. Running on an 800Mhz
processor with 256MB RAM, the phone comes with 150MB onboard storage expandable
via microSD card slot. There is Wi-Fi with hotspot, 3G, Bluetooth 3.0, and GPS
connectivity running on the latest Android OS v2.3.3. the phone has a 3MP
camera that records videos in VGA resolution at 24fps. Exact launch dates are
uncertain, but it is except to arrive internationally early next month, at a
sticker price of US$249
