LG's latest smartphone - Optimus Sol,aims to compete with Samsung's Super AMOLED display by being the first one to come with a 3.8-inch ultra Amoled display. The Ultra Amoled display claims to offer better clarity and sharper images as compared to regular Amoled displays. The phone runs a 1Ghz processor with 512MB RAM and comes with 150MB onboard storage expandable via microSD slot. In its 9.8mm slim body, the phone houses a 5MB camera on the rear and a front VGA camera along with 3G, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, DLNA as well as Wi-Fi Direct for connectivity. Android 2.3 is the operating system of choice and the phone is expected to arrive in international markets late September.
