Lakshmi Access Communications Systems Private Limited (LACS) has announced a range of tablets for the Indian market in sizes ranging from 4.3-inch to 10.2-inch with a mix of resistive and capacitive displays. All devices come with either 4 or 8GB internal storage expandable via microSD card. Currently, most of the tablets have Android 2.2 or 2.3 and select models support an upgrade to Android Honeycomb as well. To break away from convention, LACS is offering two types of Warranty – an upgrade Warranty (upgrade to new tablet by returning the existing tablet) and a damage warranty (LACS takes back the damaged device and ships a replacement device to the consumer’s address in two days at no additional cost). LACS have also tied up with various banks to provide EMI schemes to interested buyers.
