Now, here's a free and open source application named prey that can track your stolen phone or laptop. All you need to do is to install the application on your Android phone or Linux laptop, and the application is smart enough to do the rest. Prey leverages the GPS functionality of the device or uses the nearest open Wi-Fi hotspots to ascertain the location of the gadget/device. It can even be programmed to take a picture of the thief using the device's camera.
